Preteen vocal virtuoso Yolanda Ji found her love of music during a kindergarten talent show. Since that moment, she has already performed for rapt audiences at MLB, NHL, NBA and MLS games – quite an accomplishment for a ten-year-old.

Coming to music so early in life, Yolanda has been able to develop a dynamic and extraordinary voice. Although she boasts a broad repertoire, she is particularly known for her devotion to that the beacon of love, harmony, and joy, the national anthem. “When my first-grade teacher told us about the history of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, I knew I wanted to sing it” explains Yolanda. “Whenever I am on stage singing that song, I feel so proud to be American.” Her flawless performance of the piece demonstrates how strongly she resonates with its sentiments.

Although she is still young, Yolanda already recognizes the importance of aptitude and dedication. She combines her talent for singing with a career as a professional horse-back rider; specializing in English jumping, hunter, and equitation, and competing at 2’6” state rated horse shows. Yet, her greatest ambition lies with music, with her ultimate goal being to perform at all 30 MLB ballparks by the age of 18.

Yolanda comes from a humble background, which has grounded her music, and allowed her to add her own, unique touch to every performance. She wants to touch hearts and minds across the country, sharing the eye-opening experience that music has given her with people across the world. For Yolanda, singing will always be a large part of her life, and she will continue her musical journey for many years to come.

“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest; heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”
